Calm Consultations 

At your first consultation, you will be asked to complete a short questionaire to give a snapshot of your current status in terms of emotional and physical balance. From this, we can establish which areas of your life you feel you need to focus on.  From here we can create a plan of action that will address any and all issues that you feel you need to address.  Remember that this is all about you and finding your right path, so you will need to be honest about your feelings. Areas that can be dealt with in your 'Personal Wellbeing Plan' are

  • Relaxation
  • Stress Management
  • Diet and Nutrition
  • Fitness and Exercise
  • Energy Rebalance

These are all detailed below for your information and no aspect is forced upon you,  so if you 'don't do exercise' for instance, that will be respected.

You may feel that all areas need to be addressed at some level, so this is taken into account too.  Needs can sometimes change during your Calm sessions and adaptations will be made to accommodate this.  The plans are designed to help you to get from where you are now, to where you want to be. 

                                                        Relaxation

Sometimes what we need is a time out.  Relaxation sessions create a perfect time for you to evolve and understand yourself. Blocking out external stresses and strains, even for a short time, can allow you to focus on what you really need in your life.  The relaxation sessions are carefully constructed to help you to tap into your inner self and find your inner truth.  Nobody know you better than yourself, but it is sometimes difficult to listen to yourself when the world seems to be shouting at you. Regular relaxation, will help you to gain clarity and self awareness as well as physically giving you time out.  You can choose how you wish to relax as it is important for you to feel comfortable and every effort will be made to create the right environment for you.  This will be discussed at your first consultation and as always, ungoing adaptations will occur as necessary.

                                                  Stress Management

Coping will stress as and when it happens is always difficult.  It is not often possible to shut your self away for a period of time in order to relax so you need a way of dealing with stressfull situations when they arise.  Through Calm, you can discover your personal stress triggers and their counterparts.  This means that you can pre-empt stressful situations and deal with them and any others quickly and efficiently.  Stress management improves self esteem and confidence as well as clearing the path for you to focus on more constructive and positive areas of your life.

                   Diet and Nutrition                                      

Nutritional imbalance can be responsible for a number of complaints so it is important to know which foods boost you, harm you and heal you.  Processed foods and fad diets are known to be detrimental to our health, but how do you make the change from a processed diet to healthy diet?  Calm considers your lifestyle, tastes and needs, so you will never be forced to eat rabbit food or forever be deprived of your favourite treat.  It looks at how to improve you eating habbits and identify if any of your diet is causing you specific problems. Good sensible nutrition can help with: eczema, asthma, diabetes, depression, anxiety, bloating, digesti.ve disorders, headaches, migraines, frequent flu and colds, weight control, menstural problems, arthritis, acne and so much more. 

                                                     Fitness and Exercise

Everybody is different, both physically and emotionally.  Some take well to exercise and seem to be naturals, whilst others simply cannot think of anything worse!  Calm understands this and will never push you out of your comfort zone, unless you want to take the jump.  There are many different types of exercise available to you, from walking to skydiving, yoga to weightlifting and dance to combat.  So the first step is purely to stop and think about your feelings towards exercise and anything that may be of interest to you.   Exercise can help to reduce stress, improve general health, decrease risk of many illness and improve stamina.

One to One sessions are available and at least one individual session is recommended, however, private group sessions are available for up to 4/6 people and courses and workshops run throughout the year.
